The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) stated that the region is not immune to the economic crisis and tensions sweeping the area, renewing his full support for the federal government's efforts in Baghdad aimed at improving the economic situation and combating corruption. During a press conference, he clarified that disputes must be resolved through peaceful means, away from violent options. He addressed internal economic challenges, attributing the rise in fuel prices to regional tensions and insufficient oil quotas allocated for local needs, indicating continued coordination to increase gas production and address current shortages. On the security front, the Prime Minister revealed that investigations proved some of the drones that targeted Erbil were launched from areas surrounding Mosul, affirming his confidence in the region's ability to overcome these security and economic challenges.
