mniraq - Justice Minister Khaled Shwani met on Sunday (September 13, 2026) with Patriarch Mar Paulos III Nona of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world to discuss measures to protect Christian properties and safeguard their rights.
The ministry said in a statement that the meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, foremost among them the ministry's procedures for protecting the property of Christian citizens and preserving their legal and ownership rights.
The statement added that the measures aim to preserve Christian properties and prevent any encroachment or exploitation of them, alongside enhancing legal mechanisms capable of protecting the rights of their owners.
