Iraqi Ministry of Justice Wins Lawsuit in Jordan in Favor of South Refineries Company

The Iraqi Ministry of Justice announced a significant legal achievement by winning a lawsuit in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, obtaining a final and binding judicial ruling in favor of the State Company for South Refineries, affiliated with the Ministry of Oil. The Ministry clarified that its Legal Department actively pursued the case before the Amman Court of Appeal, resulting in a Jordanian company being ordered to pay financial compensation for breaching its obligations under a 2011 contract. The Ministry emphasized that this ruling aligns with the Iraqi government's continuous efforts to protect public funds and safeguard the state's legal rights and interests abroad in accordance with international judicial frameworks.
