The National Center for International Judicial Cooperation of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council signed a strategic working agreement with the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust) in The Hague, aiming to enhance joint international judicial work. This agreement is a pivotal step in developing cooperation to combat terrorism and organized crime, and in improving extradition mechanisms. Both sides emphasized that data exchange is a fundamental pillar for the success of investigations and prosecutions. Consequently, Iraq becomes the tenth non-EU country to sign an agreement with the agency, thereby supporting efforts to recover suspects and streamlining legal procedures with international partners.
