mniraq - The Ministry of Transport announced today (Friday, September 11) that it has finalized, with the Turkish side, the final draft for implementing the Development Road project between the two countries.
The ministry said in a statement that representatives of the ministries of transport, oil, finance and foreign affairs, in addition to SOMO company and executive bodies, concluded four days of talks with the Turkish delegation to negotiate the final draft for implementing the project.
The ministry added: "The talks focused on completing the legal, technical and financial aspects and determining implementation mechanisms, ensuring clarity of mutual obligations, rights and the requirements of targeted projects between the two countries."
It is worth noting that Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding with the Turkish side at the end of last July to implement the project between the two countries and enhance cooperation in its management.
