Iraq and Syria have signed a joint technical minute to enhance bilateral cooperation in the management of water resources and the exchange of technical data and information. The agreement was signed at the conclusion of official talks held in the capital, Baghdad, involving specialized delegations from the Ministries of Water Resources and Energy of both countries. The discussions focused on developing joint coordination mechanisms, particularly regarding the water shares of the Euphrates River and sustainable water management. Both sides affirmed their commitment to continuing direct technical dialogue to preserve mutual water rights and support institutional efforts to address water challenges in the region.
