mniraq - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in a press interview on Saturday (September 12, 2026) that the United States is attempting to sow division and discord between Iran and Arab states.
Pezeshkian said in an interview with an Indian newspaper that the United States is now trying to push Arab states to turn against Iran, explaining: "We have no disputes with Arab states except for their hosting of American bases used to target Iran."
He continued: "The United States is trying to use a divide-and-rule policy to sow discord between Iran and Arab states and push us into conflict and fighting each other, while it exploits our oil and resources."
It is worth noting that the Iranian president's remarks came following accusations against Iran of standing behind the attack on the main Saudi oil pipeline used to bypass the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which was launched from Iraqi territory.
