The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced the destruction of significant quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances at the Forensic Medicine Directorate in the capital, Baghdad. The operation included over 106 kilograms of various narcotics, more than 22,000 psychotropic pills, and thousands of milliliters of liquid substances and ampoules. The destruction process was conducted under the direct supervision of the highest judicial authorities, with the presence of representatives from multiple government and security agencies. It took place in specialized incinerators designed to completely eliminate the substances chemically. These measures are part of the government's comprehensive program aimed at combating the spread of drugs and mitigating their negative impact on society.
