Coordination Framework member Abdul Samad Al-Zarkoushi revealed on Friday preparations for a pivotal meeting of the Framework's leadership early next week, aimed at setting a date for the parliamentary session to vote on the vacant ministerial portfolios in Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi's government. In press statements, Al-Zarkoushi explained that indications point toward reaching a final understanding that will pave the way for a parliamentary session by the end of next week. He emphasized the broad political consensus on the urgent need to expedite the completion of the cabinet, particularly the security ministries, to address pressing administrative and security files. It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives granted a vote of confidence to the current government on the 14th of last May, while nine ministries, including Defense and Interior, remained vacant pending a final political consensus.
