Calls to Develop and Expand the Health Insurance System in Basra Province

The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, emphasized on Saturday the necessity of upgrading the health insurance system and activating its comprehensive implementation mechanisms in the province. He explained that the system represents a fundamental pillar in ensuring that citizens receive optimal medical care, especially in critical health situations. He noted that the local government pays great attention to supporting this vital sector, affirming that health institutions possess the necessary infrastructure and capabilities to accommodate those covered by the system. He stressed the importance of continuing to develop the health sector to provide medical services that meet international standards and fulfill citizens' aspirations.
