British Royal Navy Prepares for Security Mission to Protect the Strait of Hormuz and Clear Mines

The British Royal Navy is preparing to launch a military mission aimed at securing navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and clearing naval mines, amid escalating geopolitical tensions that have disrupted shipping and driven up global energy prices. British naval forces are stationed on a specialized military vessel off Gibraltar, awaiting orders to head towards the Arabian Gulf via the Suez Canal to execute the mission in coordination with international allies. These movements align with earlier US calls urging NATO members to take greater responsibility in securing energy supplies. British defense sources confirmed ongoing efforts to mobilize an international coalition to ensure the safety of this vital maritime corridor, which has experienced significant disruptions in commercial shipping.
