Bahrain Condemns Iranian Attacks and Urges Immediate UN Security Council Intervention

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks on its territory using ballistic missiles and drones, describing them as a blatant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and security. Manama emphasized that this escalation represents a clear breach of Iran's commitments under recent regional understandings, undermining prospects for de-escalation in the region. Bahrain called on the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session to fulfill its responsibilities in enforcing relevant resolutions and holding the aggressors accountable. The Kingdom stressed that targeting its security is a direct threat to the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) system, based on the principle of mutual defense, warning of the consequences this approach may have on regional stability.
