mniraq - Axios network published a report today (Friday, September 11) confirming that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman phoned Trump twice yesterday, Thursday, to request US military action against Houthi forces.
The network said that US President Donald Trump refused military intervention in Yemen despite "Mohammed bin Salman's insistence," explaining that "the US president stressed to Mohammed bin Salman that the United States has no plans for direct military intervention against the Houthis in Yemen."
The network added: "According to exclusive sources, the commander of US Central Command traveled to Saudi Arabia to coordinate with it regarding Houthi advances in recent battles," without revealing further details.
It is worth noting that the Houthi Ansar Allah movement announced its complete control over the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, confirming through its political bureau that it has no intention of "closing the strait to commercial ship traffic or imposing financial fees for passing through it."
